Oracle Customer Advisory Board (CAB) Nominations

The CAB Nomination Program was a joint initiative of the IOUC Product Development Committee and Oracle Development. This initiative provided an opportunity for user groups to nominate user group members for CABs providing they met the criteria below.
The initiative was popular and provided a few new names on CABs, however for existing CABs organizations prefer direct invitations. Where the initiative was most successful was for forming a new CAB and this is what we will concentrate on in future.
These organisations were successful in previous nomination processes via the IOUC:

Criteria for CAB Nominations:
Criteria may be slightly different for each product
E Business Suite CAB Member Criteria:
The following items are mandatory requirements for selection:
- Has licensed and implemented (or in the process of implementing) a current version of an Oracle Applications product or products.
- Must sign the Oracle Confidential Disclosure Agreement.
- Required to participate in both sales and marketing reference activities with Oracle.
- Has commitment and sponsorship of Customer’s executive management.
- Willing to travel at own expense to CAB meetings.
The following items provide additional guidance for selection, and are not mandatory:
- Follows aggressive implementation schedule and is willing to uptake future releases quickly.
- Considered “Best of the breed” in industry and business processes and has a strong vision on how Oracle Applications would help to improve business efficiency.
- Has an interesting customer profile: eg. Large-scale of implementation (# of users, # of Oracle products), brand name, new / innovative business and technologies.
- Preferably is an industry/sector leader that will be willing to offer strong contacts for the CAB.
- Preferably has Oracle Consulting on site during implementation.
- Preferably has implementation across Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Optionally, participates in product pre-release testing.
